Norwich Union 6 Peterborough Athletic 0

Union were in a confident mood going into this game against one of the few sides to have taken any points from them this season. Their confidence was soon rewarded as Miles picekd up an aerial ball from Taylor, drove into the D and shot high into the roof of the net. Just two minutes later Green was on the end of a cross from Jones, to make it 2-0. An unfortunate incident followed where a Peterborough player was hit after a deflection from his own players stick hit him in the face before dropping into the goal. This left the visitors 3-0 down and with just 10 men after ten minutes of the game. Peterborough immediately abandoned all attack and tried to defend the game out. Cambridge City II 0 Norwich Union 1

In the crucial match of the season Norwich Union travelled to Cambridge for a top of the table clash. The second half followed a similar pattern, with Norwich defending well and creating chances in the Cambridge half. With ten minutes to go the game could have gone either way, but more resolute defending meant that Norwich finished the game with a clean sheet and took the three points. Norwich Union 5 Peterborough Town III 2

A good home performance combined with other results leaves Norwich Union 5 points clear at the top of Div 2 North. Norwich played a much better style of passing hockey against town who rarely saw the ball in the first half, and defended in numbers. Eventually one of these moves found a way through the 10 man defence, and Green was on hand to tap the ball home. A second move five minutes later saw the same outcome as Green claimed his second to lead by two at half time. Although the pace dropped in the second half Union extended their lead through Snelling and Miles. Peterborough got their name on the scoresheet, through two freak deflections, leaving the keeper stranded, before Green completed his hatrick in the dying minutes.

Peterborough Athletic 3 Norwich Union 3

In a disappointing performance, Norwich Union let a two goal lead slip to deny themselves a victory in Peterborough. This was duly converted by Cerfontyn to give Union the lead. City drew level just before Half time when a defensive error led to Norwich giving the ball away in their own area and gifting Cambridge the easiest of finishes. The home side took the lead for the second time mid way through the second half as Norman put a well struck short corner past the keeper, but Union were unable to hold on under late pressure with the scores being levelled with five minutes to go.

After a second short range effort from Mylne Norwich Union looked the stronger of the two sides, until a good finish from Neil Walker (UEA) left the score at 2-1 at half time. Uea started much stronger in the second half, forcing a number of short corners, eventually converting through Gall to level the scores. Excellent play down the right of the pitch led to a well worked goal for Union through Ledger, before Gall managed to force the ball over the line from close range to level the scores once more.
