Meet The Teams
NUMHC runs 4 mens teams every Saturday and Wednesday. The club is highly competitive and successful - with the 1s being promoted to the BUCS National league, the 3s making it to the cup finals before narrowly missing out in the 2023/24 season. All 4 mens teams have managed to consolidate their gains from the previous season and are now pushing on for further success in 2024/25.

About Us:
The 1st XI play in both the Northern Tier 1 for BUCs and Men’s Northern Division 1 on a Saturday. Narrowly missing out on the BUCs title for the past 2 seasons has been tough to swallow, but this is our time. On Saturdays we are again vying for promotion and beyond, looking to make this a hugely successful season.

About Us:
The 3rd XI currently plays in the BUCS Northern 3B and NHL East div 2. In the 2018/19 season we won the Treble title resulting in us being promoted in both the Wednesday and Saturday league, as well as winning the cup. Last season through a series of gutsy performances we managed to solidify our position in our new higher leagues. This season we will look to fight for promotion again, both on a Wednesday and a Saturday hopefully bringing home some silverware. This season we will be play teams such as Leeds and Durham on a Wednesday and Morpeth and Stockton on Saturday.

About Us:
The 2nd XI currently play in the BUCS Northern 2B and the NHL East Div 1. The 2nd team had a great season in the BUCS last season with a strong push for promotion, unfortunately we fell just short of it. The team will be looking to achieve that promotion for this season. The 2s are hoping for another strong season in the NHL with a possible promotion on the cards. We will be playing teams such as Sheffield and Leeds in the BUCS division and Durham City and Stockton in the NHL. Lets see if we can go all the way in the cup and make it a treble winning year!
4th XI

About Us:
The 4th XI currently play in the Yorkshire and North East, Division 2 North East. In the 2022/23 season we reached the semi final of the cup and finished second in our BUCS league only falling short against York 2s on both occasions. We also secured our place in Division 2 North East for next season. This season we are not playing BUCS so will be aiming to fight for promotion in the league on Saturday and will be looking to replicate if not improve upon our performance in the cup, capturing the hearts and minds of Newcastle hockey club along the way.
